Privacy Policy
Your story stays yours.
1What we keep
The information you share with Lunelle is stored on your device. This includes the journey you chose, the date you entered, your daily check-ins, uploaded reports, health logs, and any preferences you set. If you create an account, an encrypted copy of this data is also stored in the cloud for backup and multi-device restore.
2Why we keep it
We use your information only to personalize your experience — to show you where you are in your journey and to offer gentle, relevant support. Never to sell. Never to profile. Never to advertise.
3Anonymous by default
You do not need to create an account to use Lunelle. We do not ask for your name, your number or your email to begin. Everything works fully without an account.
4If you create an account
Account creation is always optional. When you create an account, we collect only what is necessary: an email address for authentication and account recovery. Your account enables encrypted cloud backup and the ability to restore your data on a new device. Creating an account does not change what information Lunelle collects or how it is used within the app.
[ADVOCATE REVIEW: Specify legal basis for processing account data (consent vs. legitimate interest vs. contract performance) per target jurisdiction. GDPR, DPDPA (India), and other applicable frameworks may require different bases.]
5Your control
You can change or remove your information at any time. You are always in control. If you have an account, you can delete it and all associated cloud data at any time. See the Account Deletion Policy for details.
6Data on your device
While you use Lunelle without an account, all data remains on your device. We have no access to it. If you uninstall the app without a cloud backup, your data is permanently lost — we cannot recover it.
7Cloud backup data
If you create an account, your data is encrypted on your device before upload. The encryption key is derived from your account credentials. We cannot read, access, or share the contents of your encrypted backup.
[ADVOCATE REVIEW: Verify encryption architecture claim is accurate once implemented. Specify encryption standard (e.g., AES-256). Clarify key derivation and custody model.]
8Sharing
We do not share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing. If features that involve sharing arrive later (for example, sharing a report with a doctor you choose), you will decide, every time, before anything is shared.
9Children's privacy
Lunelle is designed for adults managing their maternal health journey. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
[ADVOCATE REVIEW: Age threshold varies by jurisdiction (13 in US/COPPA, 16 in some EU member states under GDPR, 18 in India/DPDPA). Specify per target market.]
10Data transfers
[ADVOCATE REVIEW: If cloud backup infrastructure is located outside the user's jurisdiction, specify cross-border data transfer mechanisms (SCCs, adequacy decisions, or equivalent). Required for GDPR, DPDPA, and similar frameworks.]
11Changes
If our privacy practices change as Lunelle grows, we will tell you clearly. When changes affect how your data is handled, we will show you what changed and ask for your acceptance before continuing.
12Contact
If you have questions about your privacy, you can reach us through the app.
[ADVOCATE REVIEW: Data protection laws may require a named Data Protection Officer or designated representative. Specify contact details and any supervisory authority information required by applicable law.]
